We also intend to support the creation of women-led business fora on animal resources that will drive advocacy and lobbying for greater policy, institutional and financial support for women in the animal resources sector.

AWARFA-N Nigeria is fully registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission and has membership over 2800 women from different women groups

In September 2023, with the support of Feed the Future Nigeria Agribusiness investment Activity, we trained 105 women in Aquaculture in Warri, Delta State on Fish production, in Fish Business & Management, Fish Processing Techniques/Methods – Sun Drying, Salting, Smoking, handling and storage practices, biosecurity measures, identification of Fish diseases, Fish Processors and Trader’s Regulatory Requirements (Applicable National, Regional and International certification requirements & permits), Transportation and Marketing of Processed Fish Products, Financial Management Practices to reflect important skills for proper Aquaculture Business and Formation Process of Cooperative society.
